‘We’ll be victorious, just as we were victorious in the 2006 liberation against the Israeli enemy,’ he said.
On Monday, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary Naim Qassem stated that Israel “has not been able” to destroy their military capabilities despite the massive bombing campaign launched a week ago.

“The Resistance is prepared for a ground confrontation with the enemy… We are fully ready and we will continue,” said the number two of Hezbollah in a televised speech, the first by a leader of the organization since the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah on Friday.
Qassem also said that the group will come out “victorious,” though he noted that Hezbollah needs “a bit of patience and resources” to respond to a further escalation of violence with Israel, which has launched a bombing campaign against Lebanon.
“We know the battle may be long, and the alternatives are open to us. If the Israelis decide to enter by land, the resistance forces are prepared for ground combat… Israel will not achieve its objectives,” Qassem added, emphasizing that Hezbollah will emerge victorious from the battle.
“I want you to know that what we are doing is the minimum, as part of the follow-up battle plan, and according to our considerations, the designed plans, and the field requirements,” said the cleric in response to claims made by the Israeli army about the destruction of Hezbollah’s capabilities.
Israel “continues committing massacres across Lebanon,” he said, denouncing that “there is not a single home without traces of aggression,” while implicating the United States for the “military, political, and media support” it offers to the Zionist state.
“We trust you, oh people of sacrifice and surrender! And God willing, we will be victorious, just as we were victorious in the 2006 liberation against the Israeli enemy and its aggression,” he said, referring to the roughly one-month war fought between Israel and Hezbollah that year.
